One of the biggest differences between Lenin and Lincoln is that Lincoln didn’t turn his government into a repressive regime immediately after winning his civil war.

It’s a shame he was assassinated before he had the chance to properly institute Reconstruction and punish the treasonous confederates and slave owners 😔
