
But they are in it for the money. That’s just the reality of the world. You can wish it wasn’t the case all you want, but the reason people put themselves through med school, residency, and fellowships is to have the ability to make a ton of money. I’m sorry but that’s the difficult truth.
People operating on their personal goals is how we get to where we are today, where we have billionaires hoarding the wealth of our entire nation at the top, while working class people are slaving away. If medical school wasn't so expensive, a lot more people operating out of the goodness of their heart would do it. And if it wasn't so expensive, doctors wouldn't need to be paid exorbitant salaries to make up for it.
