As a Cornell student I just want to say that the media narrative around the administration’s actions is very skewed. I hate Kotlikoff and his entire bunch, but given the victim’s statement at the time, the administration acted on as much evidence as they could. I think people often forget that two students were expelled. Meeting NYS law’s definition for rape is very difficult and would have been nearly impossible to prosecute.

I’m hoping for justice and truth, most of all for Jane Doe, but seeing the internet hate mob absolutely tearing apart my university, including unrelated clubs, teams, staff, students etc., has been difficult on top of reporters swarming our campus just for viral news. Just thought I’d provide a different perspective and encourage people to please do their research and, of course, not trash on people unrelated to this case.
