I’ll also point out that I would always vote for the Democrat no matter what because I could never vote for Trump or the Republicans but Dems need to start listening up and put up a candidate who will get much needed reforms and a true progressive agenda

Also worth pointing out that even in 2020 when Trump 1.0 completely botched up the pandemic, there was chaos everywhere, and much damage, the moderate candidate Biden only won barely and by much less than he was expected to and should’ve given the circumstances of 2020. Also Republicans gained in the House that year. Which goes to show you that even in the best environment for Dems they will never have a remarkable victory unless they nominate a true progressive.

It’s cause both the parties are working for their lobbyists each election. The only way this issue is by making lobbying illegal. That’s why ppl voted for a billionaire conman. Dems have huge corporate lobbyists backing them, republicans have mainly big pharma lobbyists and oil. Democrats want high taxes on the rich but you can’t achieve that with huge corporate lobbyists backing you every way. That’s why they get all these loopholes whenever democrats claim to increase taxes on the rich

Bernie consistently loses due to DNC manipulations and the main line of the Dems usually fund ad campaigns that punch progressives and leftists to get moderates in.

in 2020, Biden also ran on a public healthcare option, mini Green New Deal, no border wall, free public college, etc of course, Dems had no real commitment to even diet versions of DSA-style policies. They failed to do any of that…but these promises won Congress + the WH
