He upheld the status quo after receiving a once in a generation mandate to make a change. He could’ve been FDR but instead he was Clinton and now we have Trump and resurgent fascism on a global scale thanks to him

he really tried to bipartisan for no fuckin reason😭 like I get it, but my guy, they would kill you if you gave em a chance. He’s more left than he was when he had power tf?

I mean he had a clear reason to be bipartisan. Considering the gop held the house past 2010 and had a fillibuster in the senate

But Obama also had ENORMOUS cultural clout in 2008/2009. If the numbers weren't there in the legislature, he could sway the public to support one vision over another and pressure congress to do whatever he wanted.
