For all yall saying how “its so easy to work 80 hours a week stop those freeloaders” My boss scheduled me less than 80 just this month. I cant afford rent with that, and theres nothing i can do about it. If i was on Medicaid or snap, do i not deserve it?

Its what people dont understand- locking social benefits behind working at a job is terrible ESPECIALLY since 49/50 states are “at will employment”. We have no workers rights and a job can fire us whenever it wants, just to save money.

Yeah I mean I can be a great employee and still be fired. I'm autistic, it's almost always discrimination, but when I don't have the money I can't contest it.

I was put on schedule so i still have to work the exact same days as a 160 hour work month. They just lowered my hours to 4 a day. I do not have the free time to get a second job, especially since i already have to walk to work

“Got time” i walk over an hour to get to the only job that hired me. There isnt a community service group within walking distance. Either way my point is that it’s objectively insane to lock it behind an 80 hour work month when i cant even control how many hours i get
