Friendly reminder that Israel is the most violent theocracy in the Middle East and the only one with the capability to strike the U.S. with thermonuclear weapons. Israel has also directly attacked the U.S. in a longer campaign than Pearl Harbor.
(1) Israel isn’t a theocracy by any means (2) What would Israel ever attack its closest ally? France also has nukes does that mean it’s a threat to the US?

so we probably shouldn’t provoke them then

If we want to be involved in the Middle East, let’s at least attack the right country.

i would’ve been content to stay isolationist until directly provoked as was the policy for us at the time

let’s not be involved

Agreed, but at this point we’ve funded too much to pull out. We need to pressure Israel into either getting on board with the NPT or giving up their nukes. We need to pull funding, and stop all non-humanitarian shipments into the region.

they won’t give up their nukes, full stop. pull all funding from the region, let it sort itself out. this won’t be solved with more intervention and funding, cut the losses and pull out while it’s still an option.

Clearly you don’t know the history of the land, or the state of Israel. I encourage you to go read through the UN website
