i mean based on the screenshots it sounds like it started as a word for a non jewish person, but antisemites started using it to imply that they’re better because they’re not jewish. also this may be an outdated term because i’ve only ever seen it used in the bible (was raised religious), but isn’t gentile another word for non-jews? if this one has a risk of being offensive, and you have an alternative, isn’t it better for everyone if you just avoid it?
I’m not Jewish myself but I do have a lot of Jewish friends and work for a Jewish family. Jewish people use the word goy either to refer to their servant(Shabbos goy) or sometimes as a derogatory word for non Jewish people. Using the word is not offensive to Jewish people by any means.
