Let’s give a bit of credit to the fact that southern democrats are still white people, bc white people still have most of the money and black people still struggle to get reps, and even those groups of people are in conservative highly Christian cultures and communities. Not saying it’s good or what not, or that these folk ain’t bad, but you can’t be surprised that a guy who is probably a Baptist and is only a dem in the sense he want working class folk to have to pay less taxes, is phobic
