It’s the closest to western culture, people speak English and we “need an ally” in the region. Then there’s the religious aspect.

Yeah i mean the Christian right is a massive voting block. A good example of the religious side of this you can see what Ted Cruz said to Tucker Carlson. They think the Jews need to be in Israel for Jesus to come back
