Guys. Making mental illness a personality trait was a bad move by us as a society. We should’ve started treating these ideas less like rock solid boxes to place ourselves in, and more like abstract ever shifting socially constructed categories.Yeah I think everyone who’s diagnosed with relevant shit as kids have that period. I mean, yall know I’m not quiet about my autism. It’s not like I think people shouldn’t talk about it, or how it exists as a core part of their person in some cases, but we need these barriers of categorization to be a lot more fluid. We’re setting ourself up for disaster in the future if we culturally decide that the walls that separate a neurotypical person and the inverse are black and white realities.
I actually didn’t know you had autism somehow. But yea it’s not like we should ignore it. I mean I have adhd and I’m fine talking about it idc. I wasn’t talking about neurodivergencies in my original point tbh. But when it’s stuff like glorifying your own depression and seeing it as part of your core personality that becomes unhealthy. Same if you project that onto others.
