The Arab party won 17-18 seats in Israel’s election but yes Israel is an “apartheid ethnostate” according to brainwashed idiots

It is nominally a democracy: if it weren’t an apartheid ethnostate, the Israeli opposition would make a coalition govt with the Arabs yesterday and boot Netanyahu. But they’d never be caught dead doing that

The Arab party is the one desperately reaching out for a coalition deal with Gadi Eisenkot’s party and I can’t imagine they’ll take it

The apartheid is in the West Bank. Notice how Jews there voted but Arabs didn’t.

this has been so intense and i dont think we’re going to know anything for days, things can change fast, but liberman has cut contact with the rest of the opposition coalition because he doesn’t want to work w arab parties (he’s center right and racist), which suggests the others have told him they want to. currently liberman’s party has 7 seats, oppo has 41 without him, arab parties have 19. together, oppo minus liberman and arab parties would have 60 seats— one short of forming a government

but enough votes still haven’t been counted that the blocks and parties might shift by one or two seats. and if it is only one seat, they may try to sway one MK from bibi’s coalition

thing is if liberman joins bibi then bibi also gets 60 as of current vote count. but liberman hatesssss bibi. so he may have to decide if he hates bibi more or arabs more

Israel won’t even let most Palestinians in East Jerusalem vote in either Palestinian or Israeli elections.

theoretically i guess liberman’s party could also just fall apart under the tension

One of the biggest policy issues of Lieberman is the Haredi draft. So he’d have to give that up or Netanyahu would lose the Haredi parties

Yeah I did notice how Israelis voted in Israel’s election but non Israelis did not. I also noticed Palestinians didn’t vote and according to your precious Al Jeezara this is why

Ain’t no way you posted this as a gotchu. They haven’t had a vote in 20 YEARS & here’s the reason it was pushed back this time. Also something they had to deal with for the last 20 years.

Lol that would be like Trump saying he has to cancel the 2028 election because Iran may interfere. You will surely believe anything your dictator says 🤣

You do know the point of apartheid was that black people weren’t considered South African citizens. They were foreign citizens of the bantustans. That’s the whole fuckin thing. If Palestine is an independent country from Israel, Israel shouldn’t be applying its laws in their territory

Fuck abbas but the last time they held an election Hamas won (still technically holds the majority in government) and Israel started attacking.

And if East Jerusalem Palestinians aren’t Israeli (despite their land being annexed to Israel) then why won’t Israel let them vote in Palestinian elections

??? That comparison makes 0 sense unless Iran was invading & occupying American land at the time of said election and banging Trump from promoting said election but if that’s not the case your comparison makes no sense.

I don’t defend Abbas withholding the elections. He’s scared Hamas is going to win a majority again, which not only endangers his own hold on power, but carries the risk of inciting Israel to attack even more. I think that concern is very real.

That is how Arab settlers from Jordan and Syria that call themselves “Palestinians” view Israeli land

Calling Arabs settlers is an extremely funny claim to make from presumably an American Genetics show Palestinians are primarily descended from local populations who adopted Roman and later Arabic culture. Much like how Jewish religion and culture was influenced substantially by the Babylonians and Greeks. But regardless, that doesn’t matter. The welsh don’t just get to start ethnically cleansing the English just because the Anglo Saxons came from somewhere else.
