Why tho? We developed a special empathy for humans over other creatures because of their likeness to us, but a fetus before fully formed is less like us than an animal

We develop that empathy for other creatures all the time. Dogs, cats, cows, etc. Which is why I, unironically, believe it’s okay to kill and eat a cat and dog as long as they’re slaughtered ethically.

Nah that argument wouldn’t work against someone who is pro life. They believe it for religious reasons typically, and most religions put humans above animals at first principle
