lol no. i think politicians shouldn't have to work another job to get by. TX democrats were threatened in this way by having their already meager pay taken from them when they fled the state.

Most of these politicians do nothing but sit around and vote for the “let us politicians shit in your breakfast and you will be legally required go eat it” bill and take AIPAC money, they should be forced to live in the same conditions as the people they’re representing

Im not, especially when we still argue about things like “school lunch debts” for CHILDREN and have homeless vets and kids. Ban the stock trading too though in the meantime till we can get that pay slashed.

Extend the ban to family - essentially my point is that lowering their salary makes it more likely for them to engage in selling their office for money.

Extend the ban to family would be real difficult to enforce. And an in an organized crime style system might just choose some lifelong friends to get into the business with. Wed be going into real weird waters there.
