issues supported by the corporatocracy (e.g. ICE protests in Minneapolis) draw thousands of protesters while issues that aren’t (e.g. Epstein files) see nothing of the sort, even when the rage of the people is equivalent or more everything is theater

So are we supposed to have separate protests for every issue then? Yes, no kings got the turnout it did bc it was widely advertised and planned and supported by certain corporate entities but it didnt have 1 main issue other than get trump out, people showed up for a million different reasons. Lots of people had release the files signs. And for your last point, yeah duh hes doing it for power but hes also racist

the corporate overlords dont support ICE protests actually lol .. and people can care about more than one issue. ICE is more dire to communities because people are being shot in the street

Yeah I think this is the actual main reason for the difference in turnout. ICE is an issue that has clear causes, clear effects, and clear political solutions. All you can really demand about the Epstein files is federal prosecutions, and the top federal prosecutor has demonstrated that she’s not gonna fuckin do it

Well yes it of course it affects the gen pop but indirectly and behind the scenes. Even though the no kings protests are “corporate” they still had millions of people show up and those people want indictments. The corporate overlords now are aligning with trump and ICE even with the cognitive dissonance that illegal immigration is good for the economy

the no kings example heavily supports my original point, it drew millions because it was extremely corporatized have you heard of even a single decent sized protest over the files, despite the fact that the broad online consensus is “we need to be out in the streets about this”? Trump himself isn’t even genuinely anti-immigration, it’s a bit he’s stuck with since his 2016 run to gather a base and now he’s using it to seize fascistic power and have a personal goon squad allowed to cause mayhem

Generally Im sure people who are trying to organize protests to demand epstein files arrests are being suppressed but so are ICE protestors
