Kind of a ridiculous time-line to cite. Within the past 250 years, we’ve seen several parties rise and fall within the two-party framework. The Federalists-Antifederalists, the Whigs, the Know-Nothings, the Nullifiers, the Free-Soil Party; Hell, even the Socialists have held seats in Congress before.
