You know the NYC school system is very different, almost no one goes to the school in their neighborhood. It’s almost like a college application thing where they apply to high schools and get accepted into which most aligns with their academic and career aspirations

Does going to better school further away mean she didn’t grow up struggling in NYC? Was it a private school? Was a school with a big tuition? What were her parent’s (or providers’) income? Even if it was a good private school with a high tuition, could her parents have just spent most of their money hoping to provide their daughter with opportunity? I don’t get this line of questioning lol.
