i have been sobbing uncontrollably for hours listening to the final voicemails. reading the stories of heroes. watching firefighters do the climb on their local gyms stairmaster. its no secret that im not an america stan. today is the one exception.thats what inspired this post. Linda Gronuld calling her sister trying to hold it together…obviously I wasn’t alive then. but I grew up being shown the footage. i’m terrified of flying. I can but I have to be WASTED. And Ive never heard these before today. Idk how they kept their composure enough to even make those calls. Its just gut wrenching. I can’t even imagine the fear they felt omfg.
exactly. i dont love this country fr. i wish i did. but the love i have is because of the interactions i have with ordinary people, the community ive been privvy to and blessed by. it doesn’t to me matter if they were “good people” they were people that died hy no fault of their own in a horrific manner. we dont have to do moral inspections on them. families, friend groups, communities, workplaces. ripped apart unexpectedly. its a tragedy.
its just rough. maybe there was intel and it could have been prevented. sure. maybe it was an inside job. thats not important. nearly 3000 people died HORRIBLE deaths. we can assign blame when evidence to do so is available. today, we mourn the civilians, first responders, pilots, servicemen etc. who lost their lives. thats all. i dont do conspiracies about this. not today.
