Jane Doe literally texted one of the fraternity brothers saying everything was consensual and that she had a good time. This was days after. Just because she ended up regretting it later doesn’t mean it’s rape. They shouldnt’ve even had to write the essay

its not a course but im pretty sure a lot (maybe not most or all) of schools require incoming students to watch a video and complete some basic quiz or something about consent and relationships. maybe these shits havent had to do that or they just didnt pay attention or anything

Technically, in New York, it’s not currently bc she was voluntarily intoxicated. But they’re closing that loophole this year which is probably why she’s suing them now to force public pressure on reopening it now that the loophole is closed

Yeah, but she was drunk on her own choices, she voluntarily drank before ever going ever. So according to the way the law is currently written, it’s a hard case to argue. Again hence why it’s being closed and she’s putting pressure on them now to reopen (I assume)
