I think I saw that it’s like 10 times more expensive for the justice system to pursue the death penalty than it is to jail them for life. And there’s been plenty of cases of people getting the death penalty and later being found innocent. So yeah I agree

Well I certainly don’t like the ethics of it either but a lot of times the rebuttal I get when I argue from that standpoint is “well I don’t want my tax dollars feeding awfully criminals, we should just give them the death penalty.” So I was trying to jump the gun on that I suppose lol
