I don’t think that’s what this is about. It’s common in, ironically, culturally liberal areas for upper class people in the cities to oppose building affordable housing in or around their areas because of concerns about property prices and/or stereotypical bias towards lower class people. They basically say things like “yes, I understand they need a place to stay… just not here.” Not a condemnation of the left (which the account on Instagram is), just liberals.

It’s not and I think we need to build more housing and denser. This is a satire on the classic NIMBY Liberal. The people who associate high density with poor people. Think California and Colorado suburbs
