Might just be the demographics of the city. This is total votes, not a percentage or anything

This implies that people consistently move out of the city in their late 30s tho. Otherwise youd see a shift of the 35-39 in 2021 into the 40-44 of 2025.

That kinda sounds right. The whole have a kid and move to the suburbs trope is somewhat based in reality

But then why does it spike back up in the 50s
