There’s some research that extreme conservative radicalization usually follows major negative life changing events, and that in order for them to move forward they create a framework that shifts the blame externally in a way they are used to, or that feels safe for them.

Paralleling the black american experience to the Irish experience helped me understand generational trauma and systemic oppression a lot easier growing up too ngl.
