Yep, if Gavin newsom decides to run, and wins the primary, I am not voting.
i bought into the vote blue no matter who mentality in 2024, but i’m simply not committing to give my vote to just *any* democrat. this moment is too important to have a repeat of an ineffective dem president that leads to a fascist.

Would you at least be willing to vote third party if there was a candidate you liked? The dems don’t get the message when people don’t vote at all, they just chalk it up to bs like “voter apathy” instead of looking inwards. By voting for an alternative candidate, you send a clear message that not only do you not support the dems’ choice, but that you are capable and willing to use your vote against them

did u not see the last 4 years where a centrist dem paved the way for trump to win be infinitely worse? our argument is to nominate someone that appeals to more people, will actually try to get things done and beat fascism by actual governance rather than fearmingering and privilege policing

The last centrist dem candidate gave fascism time to breathe. If trump had won in 2020, itd have been the continuation of a lame duck presidency full of rhinos. Instead, Biden won, did absolutely nothing, and then gave trump the chance to build up support again. If we elect Gavin newsom, we’re guaranteeing a “trump 3” of sorts, that will be worse than our current situation.

Yep. Using their logic, voting in the primary for the same type of candidates who keep losing to MAGA is just a vote for MAGA.

A primary vote for Newsom is a Presidential vote for Vance. Hope this helps.

He only has the opportunity to refuse to leave the presidency because his entire cabinet is sycophants. Remember what happened last time he tried to do a coup? His WHOLE CABINET turned on him. All of them. And he failed. And then Biden got into office and did NOTHING to stop him from gaining future power.

They’re not even libs. If they were libs they’d be in a basement stocking up on ammunition right now. They’re not actually about harm reduction, it’s a sports game for them. They just want their side to win regardless of whether or not the outcome is negative. They literally can’t think beyond the next election.

I can’t tell if this is bait or not. I’ll try explaining this slowly. 2016: “RINO” (by today’s standards ig) cabinet. He’s *bad* but not absurd. 2020: Hypothetically, he was still not incredibly bad, so he wins reelection. Now the public can’t touch him. He fires his entire cabinet and brings the sycophants. The masters behind this shitshow are the same (Miller and Vought). Everything is set up for him to do what he’s actually doing in 2025-2029
