What if we had a council of 3 people that collectively were the president and they had to vote in order to pass/deny an idea they all had

I agree. A far-right autocracy is the only good path forward

No one. Look up "Plato's Ship of State." What we need is a philosophic King who doesn't pass down leadership to their kin but rather another intellectual individual with values that align with the states and its citizens.

How do we know those philosophic kings have the best interest of the citizens

Because they've likely devoted their lives to leading instead of capitalism and buisness

famously there were never any bad leaders before capitalism and business

Bad leaders are always going to happen. That's a consequence of having consciousness. But someone who is educated and devoted to the job at hand rather than all the other corporate and monetary aspects of being president is much more likely to maintain a successful society

What’s your statistical evidence for this?

Almost every roman emperor up until Marcus Aurelius' death and led to Commodus' tyrannical rule. And almost every U.S. president except for maybe a handful who were more concerned with their monetary value than that of the well being of americans. I dont need to give you statistical evidence, you just need to know history

You clearly don’t understand the history then lmao. Do you realize how much violence happened in Rome with the change of each emperor?

A political system where control of the military was the priority, and the citizens were a secondary concern

How much violence happens in American with the change of each president? The role of president really doesnt differ that much from that of emperor or monarch anymore

You have to be daft to think the level of turmoil seen today is any way comparable to what happened back then. Did Biden murder Trump? Did Trump murder Kamala? No? Then it’s not the fucking same.

Of course its not😂 you think rome had the kind of security we have today? If they did it would be on par and if we didnt we'd have the same type of political violence

This 100% sounds like “I want this to be true, so I’ll skew how things are/were to fit my beliefs” That’s not history my guy, that’s a fantasy.

I mean really? You dont think our government prioritizes the military over its own citizens? Our current stage of government is so comically similar to when rome was nearing its end

Oh yeah I’ll 100% agree on the similarities. But no, Trump is not demanding personal loyalty from individual military platoons. At least not publicly.

Its not skewing history lmao. You're talking about modern civilization vs ancient ones. Of course the ancient ones are going to be more barbaric

He doesnt have to demand it because its already there. The military is going to do whatever the government says we just havent had civil issues where they were needed domestically

The Roman system of government was held in place by conquest. That was it. Taxes helped pay for shit ofc, but the vast majority of money was taken by the military, and put back into the military. In order to secure power, emperors themselves demanded allegiance by specific legions, paying them in the process. Oftentimes, the next ruler was the person who could pay the military more. Which is why so many commanders became emperor.

Which is why they fell, they had unqualified people in the highest rank of command in the empire, and that is why America will fall. Rome prospered with Aurelius because he was a philosopher and intellect rather than a militant or buisnessman

Idk. I love democracy in terms of how it does domestically. But I hate it on the world board. If you compare our leaders to China, China is going to preform better at their job no matter what. Xi Jing Ping knows his government, his power, his country better than anyone ever will. But when we get a new President, they have to learn the office and learn their position, which imo just slows them down in their efficiency when compared to China
