He said it was a legal, licensed humanitarian aid trip, they said they submitted all the financial documents ahead of time, but I guess we’ll see, I just don’t think it’s entirely unlikely this is simply political lawfare rather than legitimate sanctions violations

this is a false equivalency, Santos defrauded the public by fabricating massive personal tragedies for political gain, in contrast investigating journalists and activists for delivering medical aid to Cuba relies on broad politically weaponized sanctions to criminalize dissent
