Fellow left leaning people, especially leftists: this current administration is the reason we should always have the second amendment rights, it’s what our founding fathers were thinking when they amended the constitution

In Charlie Kirk’s words: gun deaths are worth it in order to have second amendment rights

what could we possibly do with our guns to combat a tyrannical government besides strategic assasinations

Founding fathers were more concerned with shit that happened like a century ago, I doubt they would have even be able to picture the amount of tyranny (or what they considered to be so) that the American people would put up with. The Tea Party was over a British 3% tax on tea which wasn't really effectively enforced anyway

Ive been 2A pilled as well. Leftists need to educate each other on how to use guns and express our 2A rights

I'm not specifically referring to Trump when I say the amount of tyranny either and I know a lot of you guys take issue with that but idgaf everyone on here has their panties in such a bunch about the current admin that they forget that shit like Palantir has been allowed to slide under the radar for many different admins.

I also think its really dumb that the left has allowed the 2A to be a partisan issue for so long and championed putting restrictions into place but once the scenario every 2A advocate brings up as the reason for the right, they flip flop on it. Did you guys just think tyranny was made up to allow us to keep gun rights?

How exactly are you going to put any restrictions on an inalienable right without turning it into a government granted privilege?

I don’t support gun restrictions… have you been listening?

There is no difference between a "common sense gun law" and a gun restriction besides the wording

Common sense gun law to me is everybody can own one🤨

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon

Any gun law is either a restriction or taking away a restriction and neither are necessary or legal since gun restrictions are prohibited by the 2A. Hope this helps

Who actually shit your fucking bed? Gun law includes the second amendment you’re just arguing over nothing because you want to feel a sense of superiority over strangers on the internet. I hope things heal for you.

what would we storm? the white house? they’ll move, congress? theyll move. they can flee the country or probably even go underground or in the air. and how do we get the billions in banks, the title’s to the companies or the land

im just trying to point out the conversation is not as simple as “we have guns so we can rebel”. it’s not the french revolution, humanity has literally never been in the situation we’re in. our enemies are so spread out, their wealth has been so digitalized, physical rebellion cant do much in the modern world

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #3 5w

I think it absolutely can do something. What do you suggest? I think if a rebellion happened and it succeeded wed be able to shut down all the bad shit

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #2 5w

can be more specific? u cant just day “we’d be able to shut down all the bad shit”. how.

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #3 5w

Like if a rebellion happened and the rebels won theyd have control over american society so they could do whatever they want

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #2 5w

what would define them winning? do you think the rich ppls are gonna line up shoot back at us like a real war? realistically they would flee, and then what? what do we need to occupy to ensure they cant come back and resume previous order? factories? farms? office buildings? the US is huge asf and everythings spread far

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #2 5w

and then money, the rich still have all their wealth and can just buy their way back in, buying weaponry, manpower or whatever’s needed from another country and if we restart with private land distribution or create a new economic system we’d have to create all new money so the people we pushed out cant just come back (or send their descendants) with the wealth to re-monopolize

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #2 5w

forgive my very direct language, i just think this conversation is important to really think about how different our situation is from any other example of rebellion. all major assets are online and unconquerable

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #3 5w

well i mean if they flee to another country its lowk the other countries problem cuz the new government can just ban their companies and make their wealth useless. And if they bypass it ill make sure they dont . Am i correct in assuming you think we will be dominated by these billionaires forever? Do you think there is a way out?

Online space is def conquerable with the right legislation

i think there is a way, but it’d only be possible if everyone can get on the same page. i do not think violence based rebellions will work, i think violence is the countdown instead. it gets people aware of the conversation and to take it seriously the truth is that their wealth is in us/our labor. not some online deed or pile of gold. its average citizens that know how to fire the missiles, how to farm the land and keep the electric grid running. our ONLY hope is all these important people
