People make speculations like that after pretty much any attack like this, intelligence failures are pretty common. Either way it doesn’t rlly change what Hamas would do if Isreal collapsed.

Iran is always sending missiles to Gaza. I know their where warning signs before Pearl Harbor and people ignored them because such a blatant attack seemed suicidal. The isrealis probably had the same false sense of security.
