Sure it’ll decrease crime, but ain’t nobody other than MAGA truly “relaxing” when armed troops are patrolling the streets like a war zone

I’m in DC now. It’s literally no different except now they’re here when previously they weren’t. Everyone’s still going about their normal lives

It’s DC, there’s always some strange shit going on. Besides half the nation’s military is stationed here, troops aren’t really anything weird to see. Nobody really cares too much, busy stressing out about the goddamn rent

That’s not excusing the decision at all, it’s a ridiculous decision and just one more of Trump’s distractions. But as for them being here, not much of a huge deal on the ground

i think people are probably lowkey a little scared. Trump is deploying the military on us for no reason and 2 days ago a guy got detained for lawfully recording police. And yesterday they just armed the national guard. We may be fucked
