If Kamala wanted to prevent this she should have actually ran a good campaign instead of partying with celebrities while telling the working class to go fuck themselves.

We are all adults. Kamala could have partied every single day and I still would have been able to understand the consequences of Trump. Yall aren’t kids and that excuse is fucking stupid.

I don’t think you understand that our elected representatives are supposed to serve us, not the other way around.

I never said I was serving Kamala. Every politician needs to be critiqued and held accountable. However, that also doesn’t mean lose common sense. Trump told us exactly what he was going to do, why would I sit up and say “Kamala hasn’t earned my vote so I will let Trump win and do all the extremely shit he said he was going to do to teach Kamala a lesson “

OP said international campuses. Israel bombed Iranian campuses and Iran demanded that we issue a condemnation or else they’re going to strike American affiliated universities in the Middle East. Not in the US.

Both made it abundantly clear what they stood for. Both backed platforms that consisted of “the rich get richer while the poor get poorer”. Trump at least pretended to care about the working class, which is how he won the election. Kamala, on the other hand, made it clear she looked down on the working class.

You are being very obtuse. Comparing their platforms and seeing what Trump is doing is not only tone deaf but shows that you actually don’t care about the people affected by Trump. So much crazy shit has happened under Trump that we know would have not happened under Kamala. Kamala is not perfect and should be held to the fire, but doing it recklessly is why we are in the situation we are now.

Kamala’s platform: returning corporate tax rates to their Obama-era levels Trump’s platform: shifting from income/corporate tax to tariffs + increased deficit spending One of those very obviously favors the wealthy and harms the working class more than the other

Actually there both extremely harmful to the working class, increasing corporate taxes won’t actually reduce there revenue, it will just increase the prices of goods and services to compensate, it’s a sneaky way of taxing working class people even more because all that extra money just goes to the government anyway

“Realizing that less blatant oppression is still oppression is tone deaf” dude I think you’re the one who’s tone deaf. She ran on stricter immigration control and growing ICE, same as trump. She supported Israel’s genocide and was unwilling to compromise with anyone who thought differently than her. When are you going to stop worshipping her and realize she ran a terrible campaign?

You are trying to make yourself feel better. Kamala could have ran a terrible campaign and it still would have been better than Trump. You are grossly & irresponsibly trying to say they had the same stances which is dishonest and shows your character. Yes both supported Israel as every single president has, however only one of them called what Israel was doing a humanitarian crisis. Both said they were going to strengthen the border, however only one mentioned creating a path to citizenship.

How am I trying to make myself feel better? We’re in a shitty situation, and we were guaranteed to be in one. Not sure how that’s supposed to make me feel good, because it certainly doesn’t. It makes me incredibly upset that the Dem party leadership fumbled what should have been the easiest election in history by running a shitty candidates in a shitty campaign.

Why are you continuing to try and infantile voters. Multiple things can be true at once. Yes, Biden should have not ran a second term Yes, the dems should have done a brokered convention Yes, Kamala did a very poor job distancing herself from unpopular Biden policies No, her policies were not similar to Trump No, she wasn’t unqualified Yes, voters absolutely knew what a Trump presidency was going to bring and it was a poor strategic move to withhold/encourage others to not vote for Kamala.

I’m jus saying the truth. You pretending like Kamala would have been good is what’s actually detrimental. You’re basically saying you don’t care about those who are oppressed as long as you like the person oppressing them. And btw, tacking on “you are so wrong” to the end of your post doesn’t actually make it true, it just makes you sound like a moron

No. I think it is fair for you on a personal level to say you disagree with Kamala Harris policies. I think it’s valid for you to critique her policies if you personally find them to not be progressive enough. What is not fair and what is dangerous is for you to spread misinformation. You can not blatantly lie and say her policies were similar to Trump. Thats simply not a true statement and it makes you less credible. Also….

Which Critique of Kamala is it? One second its she had no policies, the next its her policies were too similar to Biden, now its her policies were the same as Trump?!?! A person with no political background could tell you that something doesn’t add up and all of those critiques can’t be true at once. Wether you hate this fact or reject it, the bottom line is this. You have every right to not support Kamala, Trump’s plans were very well known, & this could have been avoided.

Where’s the lie? She wanted to be tough on immigration, she supported increasing funding for ICE. She supported giving Israel weapons while they were committing a genocide. These are not opinions, they are facts that she was telling anybody who would listen during the campaign.

And if she was soooo concerned about a possible trump presidency, why did she run such a terrible campaign? Why did she tell anybody to the left of her to go fuck themselves? That doesn’t sound like someone who’s concerned about a fascist takeover. That sounds like an entitled asshole who just wants to have everything her way.

So a couple of things, fuck both ICE & Israel. In regards to Israel- America is never going to have a president that isn’t an Ally to Israel. I hate it but its true. ICE- we both know that Kamala wasn’t going to militarize ICE, however she did say she wanted a stronger border with a clearer pathway to citizenship. Kamala did not tell the middle class to go fuck themselves. Her campaign discussed child tax credits, assistance for first time homebuyers, protecting ACA, and universal childcare.
