For sane people: It is now much harder for the lower courts to block executive branch action. The standard to issue a nationwide injunction has been raised. You are watching our checks and balances crumble in real time.
The Supreme Court just ruled 6-3 activist judges imposing universal injunctions likely EXCEED their powers granted by Congress FINALLY!

"we want smaller government" is what they say, but the reality is they want more concentrated power - concentrated down to one man

SCOTUS really said “we are okay with liberties being violated while cases process up to us”

I mean what the lower courts have been doing is a unprecedented overreach of power on their end. Why does a district judge in buttfuck Wyoming get to block an executive order? That’s NEVEr happened before Trump. I don’t really love or hate what Trump is doing, but you have to be able to look past your opinions on him and understand that this was not the normal way things have gone in the past and this will alleviate that.

its funny that they think power should be left to an individual but are also anti-womens choice

it actually happened all the time before trump because that’s what a national injunction literally is? like there’s a hundred years of legal precedent there babe

It was incredibly rare before the Bush administration. Between Trumps two terms, he has had more that double the amount of national injunctions than all of the other presidents in US history combined. Also, don’t call me babe, honey.

Downvoting this is crazy, it’s just objectively true. Sorry if it’s uncomfortable to point out that Trump is being treated differently than any president before him.

Trump has also passed WAY more executive orders (ones that push the boundaries of what is legal for the president to declare)- which activates the checks and balances held by the courts (yes, district ones too)

for example, biden signed 42 orders (which is a lot) but trump signed 143, which is OVER TRIPLE that.

trump isnt being "treated differently" he is massively overstepping his position, and triggering the checks put in place to prevent him from doing that.

He is certainly pushing the boundaries of what the president can do but you might notice that most (if not all, but I’m not 100% sure) of these injunctions have been done away with and his action proceeds but it just delayed. Im not a fan of Trump either I’m just saying by the numbers he is being block an absurd number of times by irrelevant district judges which isn’t really a good look for the system that was in play especially considering people already question why Trump was treated -

Unfairly with political persecution with the 34 felony charges and the media constantly attacking him and his family and personal affairs.

Don’t get me wrong btw I am NOT a fan of Trump, but try to see it from the perspective of an independent. If you want to win elections you can’t be adding fuel to the fire when people already have little to no trust left in the systems we have in place

“district judge” yes a *FEDERAL* judge. This is literally their jurisdiction. This isn’t an overreach this is literally the responsibility of federal courts in regards to constitutional cases. It never happened before Trump because nobody was doing insanely illegal things that required it.

Yeah because he’s behaving differently. Is it unfair that we have regulations on airlines because we didn’t have them before airplanes were invented. Not much need for federal injunctions when the federal government isn’t violating the constitution. For all his sins, Bush mostly didn’t violate the law.

“unfair political persecution”? He literally did those crimes. He literally committed treason too… and is a known child rapist.
