I find it hypocritical that republicans hate taxes so much but want the government to do all of this stuff. Like how do u think they r going to do this stuff without any funding?

Deportations, strong anti-immigration policies to be enforced, waste of money policies (like gulf of America bill)

I’m will say those policies are because they want to actually spend less money on ‘upkeep’ of immigrants, so they’re hoping for a net positive. Gulf of America thing was silly tho

From a tax perspective undocumented immigrants paid $89.8–$96.7 billion in taxes in 2022–2023, but estimated costs spent on them range from $150–$182 billion annually, their total economic impact is hard to measure tho, but from data we can measure it seems to be negative - at least from what I’ve read.
