so let we the people kill them. the death penalty is misused and will always be weaponized against marginalized communities, especially black people. i've personally always thought we should replace lab rats with pedophiles, but that's just my opinion.

What numbers and research are you looking at because everything I can find says illegal fees and trials for the death sentence alone are a lot more expensive than supporting someone in prison for life

It’s approx 61k a year. Say 30 years that gets us at 1.8 million. https://usafacts.org/articles/how-much-do-states-spend-on-prisons/ Death penalty information center states it cost 1.5-4 million average

Also death row inmates stay in there for an average of 19 years before being put to death and being in death row costs more than not being in death row bc it’s highest security possible

The average age of pedophiles is 25. So they would get the 30 year mark plus. And you are right they are in there for a long time and that needs to be fixed as well.
