the sun was made IN THE BIBLE before Jesus was ever on earth, are they saying it happened retroactively? if that's the case does that not then invalidate Jesus's sacrifice since it just didn't need to happen for the world to function in God's image?

Why go into a Christianity community to antagonize and debate faith? Let them come to you

I’m a devout Christian and that’s the yak I spend second-most time on after this one. Truth has nothing to fear from truth, if a Christian says something goofy it’s okay for believers and unbelievers alike to point that out (although reposting it here for likes is a bit childish).

My whole point is the fact that it was reposted here just shows it’s not about sharing truth, it’s about karma farming

Gotcha, sorry for misunderstanding. I got the impression your issue was with being in there and making that comment in the first place, my bad!

Specifically seeking out people who you already know are discussing religion and faith and pretending like a snarky science comment adds anything. And on top of that coming back to the comrades in US Politics to farm karma because obviously everyone here is gonna eat up humiliating Christians

What actually invalidates Jesus’s “sacrifice” is that there is no god. And also the fact that an all powerful being wouldn’t need to turn into a human and get murdered to save everyone from himself.

I mean yeah, archeological evidence supports the ancient Israelites split off from other Canaanite tribes and never were in Egypt.

I’m an atheist. I don’t think god exists. Strictly, I suppose, I’m agnostic though as we have no way of knowing such a thing. You adamantly asserting that it’s false for no argumentative benefit is absolutely “r/atheism”ing.

We do absolutely have many ways to disprove the various man made religions, god is only an unfalsifiable claim if the god enacted no measurable or observable force in the universe since its creation, uninterested in human affairs, and if such a being exists, it isn’t much of a “god” in the traditional sense of the word at all.

You can just say you don’t want to hear atheists make any arguments, you don’t have to justify it by calling the denial of any gods “Reddit coded” or whatever lol
