Right, but you don’t speak for 100% of disabled people, and enough disabled people have expressed that it’s usually used in a hateful way. So you may not see it as a slur, and you may be confused about it forever, but to people with intellectual disabilities it’s 100% a slur. it’s a word that’s been used against them time and time again. It lacks respect in anyway. Even if you don’t understand why people don’t like being called it, u can respect the disabled community by not using the word.

No, autism is a specific diagnosable condition. It’s definitely used as an insult at times, but in most circles it pertains to the autism spectrum disorder. The r-slur is used against anyone, regardless of conditions.
