why is it that the only times i hear about Christianity in Politics are when christians want a legal excuse to be awful to a minority

That, or they want to force their religion above all others (commandments in school..)

Probably because the biggest group of people that want to use their religion in politics are conservatives Christians that hate minorities.

drives me nuts. i try to be respectful of all religions, but i left christianity at 18, never looked back and bc ik the ins and outs of the worst of them (southern baptists and megachurches) they throw rocks and hide their hands the MOST, and they have no rebuttal or explanation for any argument or question about their beliefs. and yet they use it to treat EVERYONE else like shit. infuriating.
