Capitalism is the problem, and it is measurable. If you don’t own a factory/capital and still glaze capitalism you are actively advocating against your best interests.

Capitalism was also built on slavery, genocide, and exploitation. Is it a more advanced system than feudalism? Yes. Is it also one that needs to be discarded for the future of the world? Also yes

Also how are you doing with groceries, rent, tuition, and gas? I’m assuming capitalism is making it so that these things are affordable for you

Honestly pretty well. Gas and food aren’t to much of a worry for me since I have a pretty decent job and pay to cover my expenses while still having enough for other things. Also tuition isn’t a problem.

Okay well I’m just gonna say that this is not the case for many other college students. People have to work multiple jobs to afford all that shit. I had to pay 40 dollars for half a tank, which is not affordable, and my tuition literally costs as much as a down payment on a house.

Bro collectivism calls for the ownership of private property by the group and distribution of goods according to need not profit. If I work hard and make more than everyone else my surplus is distributed to the people who didn’t put in the same level of work. It’s literally the core tenant of Marxist communism.

Yeah I love capitalism. I operated a business from my phone for about two years and had to stop recently. I was a sports bettor and paid for software to identify EV bets and arbitrage opportunities and other strategies as well. Ultimately I got limited from all books in my state for winning too much so time to find the next thing. Anyone can make money if you want it badly enough.

Why not just be for public transport then or buy a car with better gas mileage? Rather than trying to entirely reshape our economic system and curb property rights. Idk why all of the solutions are the most extreme response to issues.

Bro it calls for the dissolution of the capitalist structure and industry. Getting rid of what something/someone else built isn’t “recognizing the contributions” of anything.

upvote 3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> blue__wave 6d

Because those issues aren’t what we’re trying to solve nor are they the root of the issues lol. Being opposed to “The most extreme of ideas” is because those ideas propose a new way of living? Like “extremism” isn’t a criticism lol. Also you’d have much more clarity on the goal of communists if you actually just read Marx.

Anonymous replying to -> #2 6d

Are you actually this dumb? Why would that be how we recognize contributions? Like that’s actually four year old who got his sand castle kicked mentality ?? There are contributions because of capitalism. But when wealth accumulates class struggle intensifies and the backbone of industry being the working class should be able to control the means that they labor and toil with and for.

🌊
Anonymous replying to -> #1 6d

Those are the problems the person listed you can say they aren’t your problems, and you make an entirely new arguement if you want. Yes that’s what extreme means that it’s different than the current norm. Yes it is, our current norm is relatively extremely successful so ofc going away from the norm has the chance of moving away from what works. Again then make a different argument when I’m talking to #2 I’m not addressing whatever is #1’s head.

Anonymous replying to -> #1 6d

And to do so you get rid of the structure capitalism built. Did the Visigoths ‘recognize the contributions’ of the Roman Empire when they sacked Rome? Of course not. They might use the burnt-out corpses of buildings as shelter but the act of burning them down in the first place is an expression of disrespect. The same applies here. Communism might use the structures capitalism built during the transition to its ideal classless worker society but the act of tearing it down is one of contempt.

Besides I should own what I make, and if what I build is a factory, business, or billion dollar empire, that should be mine and not redistributed to people who did not toil as I did
