crazy how the only way LA govt is trying to humanize migrants/ immigrants being taken by ICE is by saying how our economy depends on them, maybe the fact that they are people is enough to not be brutalized

Tbh it depends what exactly they’re saying. Like, it should be common human decency to consider the fact they’re actual people. People shouldn’t need to be reminded of that. I think them talking about the economy is to show the Republican individualists that they will be negatively affected too

Makes sense when you’re trying your best to convince the crowd that already doesn’t see these people as deserving of human rights. They don’t care about social justice or anyone but themselves. You have to frame problems that way
