It’s very expensive and requires a cognitive test to even be considered for coverage. If your parent already has signs of dementia, they are screwed. Memory care costs more than 10k a month rn.

we’re approaching that with my grandmother soon. she’s not going to be able to go on living alone for much longer.

Do you think she’s able to pass a cognitive test that involves memorizing something and then saying it back maybe a minute later
