Conservatives have always been on the wrong side of history (slavery, civil rights, gay rights, women's suffrage, etc). Why does anyone think it's different this time?

It’s simple, they think they’re the ones on the right side of history

Lincoln was a Republican. Also you know Muhammad took and kept black slaves right? Not that Islam is a political party just… there’s really only one side of the political chart that’s pro-Palestine pro-Islam in America and it appears to be the left wing. It’s a mess. Def not one sided.

So being antislavery was a conservative position in Lincoln’s time then? Also, guy who lived 1400 years ago =/= current day Palestinians

But you’re right. There’s been some character arch. I guess the main point I’m making is “nobody is a saint here with the high ground historically… or even present day” I could list the sins of Israel as well, etc. Like I said, the whole thing is a mess. To pretend otherwise is foolish.

Okay so you may be confusing Palestinians for ISIS. ISIS is the one that does that.

The Islamic religion tells you to throw gays off the roof

Oh it does? What religious text says that?

I spent quite a bit of time in the region. It wasn’t just ISIS doing abhorrent things. Common practice for people to torture dogs because they think they are dirty. There isn’t much ISIS all the way to Palestine. There was in northern Iraq/Syria.

You specifically said throwing gays off of rooftops my guy. That’s ISIS. That is the specific claim I was responding to, don’t move those goalposts. It is true that Palestine has laws against homosexuality. Would you care to tell me when those laws were enacted, and by whom? And if they’re enforced today?

And the net result was the supreme court legalizing gay marriage federally in his 2nd term anyway. Rather have it because he “wanted votes” than not have it at all
