Well wait till they figure out that every trial sets a precedent. And if woman can be claimed to be “hormonal” and result in murder on a psychotic break, that sets a precedent and now it’ll make it harder for woman cops, pilots, president. Any of these positions hold extreme power and if they can be deemed hormonal and found not guilty then they can kill countless lives in any field, ultimately leading to the restriction of their careers.

Hey so postpartum PSYCHOSIS is extremely rare and is NOT postpartum depression and PSYCHOSIS is what Lindsay Clancy had. No one is arguing that she did it and should be free (if they are, it is a very loud and stupid minority of true-crime obsessed idiots) what is being argued is that postpartum PSYCHOSIS, along with much of women’s health, is understudied. Lindsay Clancy needs a HOSPITAL OR AN INSTITUTION not prison omg. This happened at all because despite showing signs and ASKING FOR 1/2

2/2 Crime is committed by men, and then tell me men should still be allowed in positions of power - this is, of course, based on your own logic. Anger is an emotion. Men are, largely, more angry and ACT ON THAT ANGER more than women do. You will never understand the pain of your body not being your own. You will never understand the deep grief of mounting the freedom of body and thought I would have if I were not born a woman. The grief I and others have carried since being teens, or younger.

“Most women feel some sort of postpartum depression” not most women, a lot of women WHO CHOOSE TO HAVE KIDS, and that depression is temporary and not at all like PSYCHOSIS, which is, again, RARE AS HELL. If you think the result of Lindsay Clancy’s, trial, regardless of what it is, represents a precedent for all women, I want you to look at how little jail time rapists get, or men who murder their families for that matter (which is a lot more likely to happen 😀), or even at how much violent 1/2

HELP, she was ignored. She murdered her kids. She needs to be tried and held accountable for that. Murder is bad. Murder of children is worse. But take a long look at how many people can plead insanity and get that plea because THEY WERE INSANE. That was PSYCHOSIS is, not Postpartum depression.

Because the justice system acquitted her. 1 trial doesn’t set precedent for millions of women. It certainly doesn’t support what your original post says about making abortions illegal.

It certainly does. Do you not understand how case law works? It sets both legal precedence and also a sort of societal framework where people won’t view women who murder their children as harshly

Because if Lindsay Clancy can get off murder as hormonal due to postpartum depression, what do you think someone’s going to say when a female cop returns to duty from giving birth, or pilot? They’ll ultimately be deemed unpredictable.

No. It’s not. By your logic, men should NEVER be allowed to be police officers, or in any position of power. Because cases of murder, and people getting acquitted of murder based on exactly what youve said but for men, the numbers show that it happens more than it does for women.

No the logic here is that most women feel some sort of postpartum depression, and if they can be deemed hormonal (which happened, and cannot happen in men) and get off with murder then. It’s not about men vs women doing a crime. It’s about a situation that applies to women in this cast hormonal psychosis. So yes my logic 100% absolutely works and it’s literally the blueprint they’ve done with any case.

Unfortunately these people are misogynists, they didn’t reason themselves into their position so it’s likely futile to try to reason them out of it

Baby your body is yours. Women have full autonomy over their bodies in their everyday lives and make their own choices about what they do with them. Abortion restrictions do not mean the government owns or controls women’s bodies as a whole. They limit one specific decision because the law also considers the unborn child and whether that life should be protected.

Roe V Wade would like to have a word with you, as well as states where miscarriages are investigated as murders and doctors can be arrested for abortions that are MEDICALLY NECESSARY (child would be born dead, or is already dead, or would kill the mother via either one of those things). Of this is misinformation please correct me I would be so happy if this is false.

…her therapist was part of the problem that ignored her plea for help. Not all therapists are good- this was a system failure. If the court rules that the therapist was right, I’m still skeptical of bias but at least then I would be less on board with the insanity plea, because again, if it was depression and not psychosis, PPD doesn’t cause insanity and she was in sound mind

How do you know that the therapist was part of the problem? Are you making the claim that you know more than someone who is a therapist? Also, if she can answer a phone call normally she was not suffering from psychosis, and after that she strangled her kids with a workout band. And this was all planned out too.

My brother in Christ, do you know what even happens if a court finds a person NGRI. They DO NOT walk free. Instead they are sent to a fucking mental institution which oftentimes have worse conditions than prisons.

"tried to set a women [sic] that murdered her children free" being admitted to a mental institution is not "free". admittees can't leave. they don't set their schedules. they have severely limited autonomy, like prisoners. they may be compelled to take medications or participate in various forms of treatment. conditions can be and frequently are as bad or worse than some prisons. quit your baseless, useless, ridiculous yapping

Yes I do. She had multiple doctors, she had a nanny and her husband made over 400k she had more help and luxury than most people ever could. You’re making a claim that the therapist is wrong, it was just one therapist who said this. I’m saying that since the husband is the one to say that.

What you said is completely false. There is no state that investigates a miscarriage, it’s not an abortion if the child is already dead but also no the doctors do not get arrested for a medical procedure.
