We can't do this here because energy execs need to be able to afford their third yacht

Three times as many people in Germany die from heat related illness as the US, despite having 1/4 of the population and a milder climate. This is largely due to the lack of air conditioning brought on by high energy prices, driven by the decline in consistent production.

I’m forever jealous of all the European countries who use solar and wind energy :( some places make so much that they’re now having to figure out technology to store all the extra energy they’re generating

We can’t do this because BlackRock is buying up electric companies

A) the heart disease rate is lower in Germany than in the US. B) how does getting a little sweatier in Germany cause they don’t have air conditioning contribute significantly to heart related illness

My bad. Still what does not having air conditioning have to do with solar and wind

BlackRock doesn’t own a majority stake in any electric companies.

One of my parents is from Eastern Europe (and I have family in Germany) and I can tell you that while the energy cost may be prohibitive for some people, most people don’t have an AC because they think it’ll make them sick. A lot of European countries (esp Eastern Europe) still hold onto AC related superstitions and actually of you try to buy or rent a car in a lot of Eastern Europe the car usually won’t come with an AC
