Texas republicans turned down funding to prevent this. You can take a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.

There have been federal budget cuts across the country that affect the national weather services. Without money, employees, and valuable data from the DMSP or the SSMIS there is little that could be done for Texas before it was too late. The loss of lives is directly tied to Trump And Hegseth
