Advocating chopping children’s dicks off is not “vaguely problematic”.

Have you ever heard of right leaning policies that aren’t maga? Such as gun ownership, free trade, etc. Saying one side is pedos, AI CP, and ICE is maga, not the right. Yall will never understand what it’s like to be a principled person and stand by your beliefs and not just vote a certain color every year 🥱 I didn’t vote for Trump bc I know what he stands for, and he doesn’t represent my views. That doesn’t mean I need to agree with everything democrats do.

I’m not sure how you interpreted this as me saying “worship the left”, hun, the right is kinda in control rn, and they’re doing terrible things

Yeah I know. That’s why I didn’t and won’t vote for them. I also won’t vote for democrats who say they’re socialist. I like moderate candidates with views on both sides.

There’s not many that cover my bases. If you know any I’d love to hear. I like individual gun ownership, federal drug legalization, abortion, capitalism, generally free markets (with strong consumer protection regulations), social security reform, balance of the federal budget and reduction of debt.

So wait, you don’t have a party or person to elect, so what? your just not going to vote until you find a perfect candidate?

No. Last time I voted for Kamala. For the midterms I like to pull up peoples policy sheets and do a side by side comparison. I usually do that later after I have more time to hear the candidates talk. I usually vote for whoever is closest to my views. I’d consider Republicans in the past but they all seem spineless and just acquiesce to whatever Trump wants so not sure it’s gonna be so easy to choose this year.

Buddy… Trump is responsible for a LOT of shit, mostly shit that is opposed to stuff you just said you liked, stuff that the dems with a fkin spine are working towards. Why is it so close to you when one side is so comically evil?

Dems don’t have a cohesive strategy. They’re split between the DSA and old establishment. If anything, I’d be closer to the old establishment. I’m a big accounting/finance guy and a lot of the DSA’s tax and spending policies (if you can even call them that) are idiotic. I’d like to lower personal taxes and democrats everywhere are set on increasing them.

Yea, the idea is that the amount you pay in taxes is made up for by not having to personally expense things like transportation, education, medical care stuff like that, like how paying taxes for a library gives you more books then having to buy each one

I don’t like that idea so I won’t vote for it.

But also, like, the right has ICE, and they’re killing and assaulting people. The FDA is underfunded, USAID is gone now… there’s a lot of other thing to worry about then expensive taxes

You don’t like the idea of public libraries?

Libraries are good. But the idea of funneling more and more of our own money to the government so they can provide for us is bad. I’d rather keep most of it and provide for myself. And expensive taxes affect everyone, whereas ICE doesn’t impact everyone.

No, just the people you DONT care about, right? Not you? So it’s not important?

No it’s important, just not as important as lowering taxes. Look at how expensive houses and renting is. Do you think people paying 39% and up cumulatively can afford to save for rent or buy a house with how expensive things have gotten? Now’s not the time to increase taxes for more libraries and stuff.

I’d argue that rising costs are due to things like tariffs, and bad policies, but that dosent matter, PEOPLE. ARE. DYING. Being taking from their families, brought to places they didn’t come from, AND YOU THINK YOU CAN SAY THATS WORTH IT FOR LOWER TAXES AND CALL YOURSELF “MORAL”

Anonymous replying to -> nya_nya 21h

Yeah they all contribute to rising costs. Also high inflation in general following covid. I don’t like ICE or what they’re doing? I also didn’t say it’s worth to keep ICE to lower taxes. I said in terms of what’s more important, lowering taxes is. You know Trump will not do either. When the next president comes in, they’ll stop ICE and will decide about taxes.

people can’t afford much rn and your idea is to raise taxes on them? hardworking immigrants like my parents who came to america with nothing and racked up student loans so they could get an education to set an example for their kids. you wanna take some of that away from them so the government can exploit us? no thank you. and if you think the left is magically better on these issues you’re wrong. look at how obama treated immigrants. how biden treated palestine. PEOPLE WILL DIE ANYWAYS.

“They’ll stop ice” not if it’s a Republican, not if it’s Hegseth.

There is absolutely no chance republicans win the next presidency after all that Trump is done. He’s done irreparable damage to the party.

Again, the idea is you actually pay LESS, just in taxes and not in medical debt, or those student loans you talked about, imagine if that was free hmmm? And also no, like the other branches of government actually stop dems cus dems are bitches

Again I’m confused, you’re saying Trump won’t win, so don’t vote for him, and you don’t have a 3rd party, so it sounds like you’re saying vote blue?

The long and short of it is that capitalism is inherently exploitative and unstable, and because of the structure of capitalism any reforms made to it will be temporary at best. Not to mention, capitalism is used as a tool to perpetuate and worsen other forms of oppression, e.g. racism, misogyny, queerphobia, colonialism, and what have you
