Buying a gun lowkey made me feel a surge of MAGA in my blood for a second

Guns are for all, not for some. MAGA supports the NRA, which is dumb. The NRA is not for your rights, as some would suggest. They’d take them away for their plight, which is something I detest.

Fr. I’d considered myself somewhat liberal but buying a gun started an addiction for me I think

That’s the thing about MAGA and the right wing. It’s just so much fun. Pretending to be a conservative is the pipeline to actually becoming one.

Owning a gun isn't pretend if I fear my life is at risk. That's all.

There’s a lot that I simply cannot support in right wing politics but guns are one of the few exceptions

I own a few guns, I think it’s ok. Guns per capita is actually inversely correlated with homicide rates in the US and I don’t feel like my guns, which are properly stored and only used for recreation (I don’t even have a gun I could reasonably use for self defense) pose a practical threat to anyone.

I don’t really think tracking a mental illness at a state level means they’re going to kill people with tism. We’re not a communist country.

The national government shouldn’t be given the privilege to collect your private information at will in the name of science. If there is such a necessity for a data registry, individuals should be allowed to voluntarily submit their data to firms they trust. Centralized data registry’s on private information have historically served to oppress behind a mask of enlightenment.

Even though this isn’t the national government in this case, the CDC which is a federal bureaucracy has been doing this for decades

the cdc is an agency directly funded by the national government, specifically under the HHS. It’s subject to the whims of who has power at the time, like every federal agency. It has done some good, but private research has yielded far better results for far less costs.

This is more just my opinion, but another primary issue I have is that it is not voluntary. If master over here wants to give their data to a registry to further an experiment or cause they support, so be it. That’s their prerogative. However, the second it becomes forced, like what master is talking about, it becomes morally repulsive imo

I wouldn't simply chop it down to "I wouldn't worry about it". What could sweeping data collection about a minority group do that's positive for us or society. Think critically and respond please.

That's what I'm saying. You guys sit here and say "why are you worried for your life" but haven't put any thought into why. It's not worth explaining to everyone on earth especially people like you who don't actually care and just want to ragebait.

If you go far left enough you get your guns back (I’m a communist and I love guns)
