It seriously struggles with “how many letters are in <word>” and I kinda get why (it just converts words to numbers), although it should work when you type the letters with a space in between (so each letter is a number, and repeated letters are repeated numbers). But I was surprised when it started screwing up easy math again

Like…did they test this at all?

I honestly think “GPT-5” was just a way for them to shift people onto lower cost models for most stuff while still rolling out a bit of an upgrade to their best model. But it definitely feels rushed. Seems like they’re really starting to feel the pressure from competitors and I’m sure they’re far from making money

Yeah I’m wondering that too, seems like they took away the other models (unless I’m missing something). Seems like they wanted everyone running the same thing now

When Claude makes mistakes like that it’s super funny because you’ll literally see it delete the incorrect stuff and go back to fix it 💀

And it was still wrong too even after double checking

Did you ask it to check again? 9/10 times, 4.5 would fix it properly. It was real funny when I had to tell it to check once again 1/10 times though 💀

It would struggle to explain and one time told me the calculator I was using had a different formula or was rounding differently 💀
