There’s a difference between liberals and leftists. Liberals had a piss fit after New York (maybe other states, I’m only familiar with New York because I live here) had to go from a “May issue” state to a “shall issue” state after the Supreme Court case NYSRPA v Bruen. To them it was the end of the world that I could just go get a pistol permit because I wanted to and didn’t have to show “cause” that my life was under reasonable threat anymore

honestly 100%, i’m not pro banning guns by any means. i think we need gun control, permit, basic training, extensive background check, etc. firearms are dope, people should totally be allowed to have them. i just think we need to regulate possession of them a little better than we have been.

honestly, i think that’s pretty bullshit. like, you should absolutely be able to purchase a firearm regardless of if your life is under reasonable threat before the purchase. like isn’t that the whole point of buying something for defense? 😭 i get what you’re saying though, i would argue the vast majority of liberals agree that banning guns is ineffective. i’m pro gun control, but this form of “gun control” honestly doesn’t seem like it’s controlling anything, seems like a bigger detriment.
