I took it to mean the current administration and how they are exercising power over people in the US. I don’t entirely disagree with the perspective that the US is imperialistic, but I’m not super well read on that topic. So I could have just been entirely wrong.🤷‍♂️

i didn’t disregard anything. i said that the US is functionally not that dissimilar from itself previously, to which it is not. if fascism was an immediate threat, perhaps Democrats should not have voted alongside Republicans to create the militarized police state that presently exists. unfortunately the Democratic party is just the left-wing of fascism

The reason we’re in this position with Trump is unfortunately a result of Dems. Even if I don’t totally agree with orangutan, a majority of the criticism against the Dems is valid.

yeah, dems hold some blame here (ex: still running Biden), it just feels awfully Trump-sympathetic to disregard complaints about Trump to complain about Dems or the system at large
