Not a man but i get the points Alot is mainly that porn is one of the few times men are being held to similar standards as women are And that its being used as a weapon of the right wing to manipulate the public and im tired of feeling insane for thinking that Especially with the push the algorithm has for gooner content if you tell it its a man And how social media algorithms uphold patriarchy

if adults are sending it to you/advertising it, then that would be grooming

Well sometimes its starts through sexually charged scenes in films and television that builds on the natural curiosity at that age.

Porn under capitalism will always want more The easiest way is to manufacture sexuality and then slowly push you through algorithms into a gooner to spend money

Sexuality in tv vs porn are two different things Porn is making men insecure about their bodies on the low and no one wants to admit seeing bbc porn made em insecure And that denial is why trump won Bc gooners overall lower the bar for men

In tv sex is a "hey these characters" not look at these two surgically modified people who are having sex for money selling the idea of "this is a sex fantasy"

True but i mean my original point was that this messaging in media was like the first step in sexual curiosity as a teen. So is it grooming or just noticing things in film and tv

While not directly gooning they contribute to goon logic of instant gratification Through bbl's instead of going to the gym

Actually yes, way to many are sexualizing children or presenting them in fashion like adults

let’s not be dense. there’s always a middle ground it just doesn’t exist. explicit content should not be freely accessible nor should be as a society find it normal for it be casually woven into media especially the kind aimed at minors. damage is pretty much already done though

absolutely but I think when you talk about the insecurity aspect etc etc that’s not a purely sexual thing, and it’s not a problem only for men. Do you think young girls are being groomed by beauty/fashion influencers?

I can agree to that

Like I follow and agree with you on some to most of this. but the pivot to gooning is strange to me. The issues with porn aren’t that people jack off

It seems like u might be a man so I can understand not rly being exposed to it, but social media, esp insta, is just fullllllll of really unrealistic expectations for women’s appearance and like, an extreme sexualization of them, even by “non-beauty” influencers

Along with that those influencers tend to push certain ideas of what being a woman is supposed to be like, how you’re supposed to look and act and your role in relationships. Not to mention the really rampant plastic surgery these days

I actively tried to stay away from all of it but bc insta’s algorithm figured out im a woman i get it constantly. I had to delete the app eventually. And young girls have it awful too

I was like 12 when insta first came out and I was a dancer. And even tho the “algorithm” wasn’t really a thing yet, there was just this pervasive super toxic culture around body image and presentation

I guess tl;dr - even though it’s not About or Depicting having sex, that sort of rly restrictive, inescapable idea of feminine beauty DOES groom girls into certain sexual roles imo. so any talk about banning porn needs to include that sort of content

I think it’s the same kinda shit with the gym influencers for men too. the mewing, supplements, weird diets etc etc But im not rly in the thick of that
