All the us universal healthcare plans that have been put forth so far are estimated to cost like 2-4 trillion annually, if you would have looked it up you wouldn’t have posted this. However, abt 5 trillion dollars total is currently spent on healthcare in the us per year, so passing universal healthcare could literally save us trillions, but the biggest and most important point which has nothing to do with cost is that the us chooses to put way more effort into useless stuff than public health

I mean it’s true lol. If everyone has access to healthcare then the cost will go down, resulting in lower salaries. Then doctors wouldn’t be incentivized to go to medschool if they’re not gonna be making that much money. And boom a doctor shortage
